Frequently Asked Questions
We'll take whatever time you can give! We know mentors are at different seasons of their lives and have differing amounts of availability. When you complete the Mentor Survey, we'll ask how much time you envision being available to guide our crewmembers. Many companies offer "Volunteer Time Off" and we look forward to hosting mentors for our crewmembers both during the school days (for our homeschool crewmembers) and on the evenings and weekends for all crewmembers.
Yes! All members are subject to a robust background check and will need to maintain all communications with crewmembers through the approved channels, but we will have the technology and room design to ensure remote mentoring can take place. This allows flexibility to those who may still be in the office, traveling for work/school and to ensure the best and brightest mentors can connect with the best and brightest crewmembers at Launchpad.
Absolutely! We invite mentors to work on their personal projects, and hope you fully expect our crewmembers to want to learn more about you're working on too!
